review 1: Al final de una noche de juerga en Londres, Alyshia DCruz, hija de un magnate indio, se mete en el taxi equivocado. La chica es víctima de un secuestro y su poderoso padre, Frank DCruz, cuya fortuna tiene un origen turbio, decide buscar ayuda y recurre a Charles Boxer, antiguo miembro del ejército y la policía ahora reconvertido en uno de los mejores especialistas en la resolución de secuestros. Pero los captores de Alyshia no piden el previsible rescate económico, sino que pretenden jugar a un juego mucho más complejo y peligroso.
review 2: A new thriller writer to me and as this is the first one I have read, there is pleasure to come. The cast is huge and at times confusing, but the book is certainly a page turner. One is not quite sure if he is being... more funny (??) or serious (couldn't be totally not tongue in cheek) as the kidnapped victim is passed from group to group...clever. He doesn't answer questions about the morality of DIY capital punishment, but seems to have some family values that our characters slowly learn. I enjoyed it very much. less
