review 1: Yes there are incredible children books such as The Secret Garden or A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. Then there are books so slim in vocabulary, style, literate quality with a simplistic plot, like this one. I remember reading from the Bibliotheque Rose when I was around 7 and the mysteries like Le Club Des Cinq and others. So many were of higher value than this poor facsimile of a book. This would be a 0-star book if I could rate 0 but it does starts with an X in the title. I guess it is it's saving grace.
review 2: If I were Dink, I would know right away that the doctor was a fake because it was only a scrape and he put almost a whole cast on it. I think the three kids were really clever to figure that out because it looked like a really good setup. This book is... more about three kids who go on a merry-go-round. One o the kids fall off and hurt their arm. At that time, a person steals a famous singer's pendent. But anyway,they go to see a doctor. The doctor x-rays Dink and takes him to a hospital.The three kids figure out that the doctor was a fake and that he stole the pendent. less
