review 1: This book was more mysterious than the Ghoulfriends book. I really enjoyed the characters in this book as well. This is a true who dunnit (but with vampires, werewolves, and witches). I loved the whole independent rockabilly idea and even though you would think of those girls as being tough she really was a softy and needed protection. She sounded as dainty as the flowers she would put in her hair. Yet, there was still something strong in her will and with her tenacity that I really liked. She really does need to learn to carry the mace though. Or a billy club. Any ways I digress. This was a fun book to read I could not put it down. I stayed up till 5am reading it. I was very satisfied with the ending and look forward to more from Veronica Mason. I do have to say... more though for a werewolf her friend is a wimp and chooses really crappy boyfriends.
review 2: Well I really enjoyed this book. Don't get me wrong there were some chapters that were very dry for me. As I read more and more into the story of Veronica the Rockabilly songstress and her band of Vampires. She is a Witch(who by the way isn't any good, but can conjurer up a fierce lipstick color for you) and everyone she knows is either a Vampire, Werewolf or Witch. There is someone killing vampires and now is after her. Throw in the paranormal police, a dead well undead and dead again bass player(well staked), mortician and a mysterious Elvis look a like(Drool) musician you have a lot of humor and chaos. All in all a very good story less
