review 1: Overall, this third book in the Saddler's Legacy series didn't grab me. It sometimes felt like reading a completely different author, the style was so noticeably different from the first two. The dialogue was stilted and awkward, and the main characters had far too many inner monologues for my taste. It felt much more like telling than showing, for I was never really pulled into this story like I was with the other two.
review 2: Lovelier Than Daylight was a really good read. It was beautifully tender with unique, heart-rending, and mysterious plots. The romance was ever so sweet. The differing opinions were very interesting and made you think beyond the usual. I was horrified to find that dear Ben, from the previous book, had died... how awful! :( But since th... moreis series is loosely based on a real-life story, I suppose that's the way it has to be. I have to say, also, that the beginning of Lovelier Than Daylight seemed to take a while to get going. It was nearer the middle of the book that my attention was really caught and I started seriously enjoying it. Overall, I very good read and lovely story... don't miss out! less
