review 1: 4-4 1/2 stars. I thought this was well rounded for a shorter length story. Good strong main characters, entertaining secondary characters, drama (but not angst), nice relationship and romance aspect, a couple of spicy scenes. There was a small suspense subplot that resolved itself pretty quickly--I found this part to be slightly confusing, but not enough to take away from the enjoyment of the story. I have read most of the books in the previous series involved, and I think this one is pretty good as a stand alone. Some of the secondary characters roles maybe clearer if you read the others, but I don't feel it's totally necessary.
review 2: While I thought this one was a little abrupt, I did like it. I just wished that there would have been more interactio
... moren with past characters, it something I love about this series.I did like how neither Finn or Hadley shied away from the less than perfect parts of their lives, missing leg, recovering alcoholic, and heart problems. These issues were vulnerable spots with them, so having acceptance of them went a long way to cement their relationship.I think my favorite part of the book was when Finn and Hadley's dad talked about Finn dating Hadley. It was nice for Finn to see what bothered dad was not really anything he had control of.The ending was perfect for Finn and Hadley, so very them! less
