review 1: I love everything that Russell Moore writes. This book was no exception. It’s filled with insights into Christ’s temptation in the wilderness by Satan that you have never thought of before. I wished I had read this book before I preached through Matthew 4! The way he draws out what was behind each temptation helps us to see what Christ endured, how He fought temptation, gives us tremendous help as we wage battle against temptation, and causes us to rest in His finished work for us.
