review 1: When my wife and I were getting ready to start the process to adopt a little girl (0-12 months) from Ethiopia and this book reaffirmed God’s calling to me. Russell Moore does an excellent job of explaining the Gospel and illustrating the Gospel with adoption. There is one analogy he makes between our battle in this present age and his son’s reaction when leaving the orphanage in Russia in chapter 1 that is worth the price of the whole book. This book was an anchor for us in our first adoption and it will be as we have started the process of adopting an older boy from Ethiopia.
