review 1: Maddy è un'adolescente tranquilla, solo un po' preoccupata perchè ben tre delle sue compagne di economia domestica sono morte all'improvviso. All'uscita da una lezione, si scontra con Stamp, il bel ragazzo appena arrivato a scuola. Quando la invita a una festa, Maddy è al settimo cielo. Ma si perde in un bosco e viene colpita da un fulmine. Al risveglio, scopre di essere ancora viva, sebbene il suo cuore non batta più e abbia un buco in testa. Mentre cerca di capire come vivere questa nuova non-vita, scopre di essere al centro di due bande di zombie rivali...Primo libro sugli zombie che leggo, un po' surreale, e con il solito clichè del triangolo amoroso.
review 2: An interesting premise for the zombie genre....some becoming a zombie after a lightning stri... moreke, and then having different levels of zombie craziness (good zombies, bad zombies). I also thought the idea of the zombie elders and sentinels worked well, I just think they really should have had a stronger part in the story. After all, they had existed for years, and supposedly were pretty powerful, but yet a gang of zombie kids flew under their radars. less
