review 1: I am so glad to have the second book with me. I loved this book so much, I loved rosa as a character and I felt bad for her as she had no future. Her story reminded me of rose's from titanic. How her father died and left her with no money and her mother was giving her sob stories and making her feel bad so she could marry her off to a man who thinks he owns everything and everyone. Only with rosa she had a selfish brother in the mix to. I hated her mother and Alexis. Both of them selfish not even thinking about rosa. I believed that Alexis was lazy because if he married off his sister then he could get further in his career, I don't even think he really liked Sebastian I just got the sense he was just sucking up to him. And as for Sebastian, I actually cried when he had be... moreaten his dog. I hated him for all what he had done to innocent people and animals because all he cared about was money. And Luke I disliked him at first but then I loved him. He became bitter ever since his parents died, which was understandable, but it changed when he met rosa. I loved how after he couldn't bring himself to do it. It was funny in a way that although rosa seemed like a normal rich girl, that she was in fact poor. Any money they had was spent on either Alexis or her mom. They had nice new clothes but rosa had the same dresses. I am glad she realised that, although it was to late, that it wasn't worth chaining herself down to Sebastian's abusive ways. There was always one person on her mind. Luke. And I'm glad they finally were together.
review 2: It has a really pretty cover I'll say that. Okay a bit of a slowish read but then it got predictable. Okay so you have a mission to kill this girl to prove you're worth something. Okay you were warned and nobody really thought you could do it. Okay you meet this girl and she's nice, pretty and innocent. Okay multiple attempts to kill her all end in? Failure. Is that a surprise? No. Okay so you end up falling in love with her. I don't really know how but okay. Then you save her from death. Twice might I add. Then you say you can stay. You both leave and live happily ever after. Well then there's a second book. Which I am not going to read. I'll just take this happy cliche ending and be done with it. less
