The Frontiers Saga

review 1: This was a disappointing installment in the Frontiers Saga. The entire contents of this "episode" (truly it is a short story or novella) would have been more enjoyable if it had been condensed into two chapters and put at the beginning of the next book. These books are all very Star Trek, and the first book was a pretty good episode - maybe a series opener, and this second book is like one of the more boring episodes of Voyager.
review 2: This story was consistent with the first in every way. The first part was relatively slow, but picked up about halfway through the book, and had an exciting ending. The book was in desperate need of an editor as was the first, even to the same bad habit of repeating a section immediately after it was presented! But I like the... more characters, love the story, and found myself concerned about their welfare. You can't ask much more from an adventure story. less
