review 1: An alright ending to the 5-book (pentalogy?). This one, like the third one with Minerva, was kind of a letdown as both of the Sharpe ladies are portrayed as self-reliant, badass women in their brothers' books, but turned into simpering, helpless females in their own. I liked Jackson as the male lead, though even he seemed to be... "less" than when he was a supporting character in the previous books. Overall I enjoyed the series, though I don't know if I would reread it again. I will look into others of Jeffries' books though!
review 2: Another fantastic Hellion Book! I have loved Pinter in all the books! The back and forth between him and Celia was great! I also love Celia because she is not your typical Lady. These two make quite the pair. I got really angry w... moreith Hetty in this book. I think this is the only time I have not liked her character so well. It worked out well in the end though. The way the murder was solved was a huge twist for me. I did not suspect the ending. I knew who the killer was but wow! What a twist. Beautifully written! The characters are absolutely amazing and I do hope to get to read the Duke of Lyons story! This was a fantastic series and she ended it amazingly well! One of my favorites for sure! less
