review 1: I read this book because I liked the After Dark series but I didn't think this one was anywhere near as good. I want to strangle the protagonist! I hate that we hardly know anything about her - I would have preferred that she have a backstory so that we can see where she gets her attitude from but theres nothing - just a pampered princess who gets what she wants. I don't think she has any relatable qualities and I think that she needs to be re-written. The only redeeming factor of this story was Miles, even though we don't know much about him.
review 2: I read this book as a fan of Sadie's work already. I loved the After Dark series. This new series is looking set to be fantastic. It will absolutely leave you wanting more. It's impossible not to like these char... moreacters. We learn a little about Freya in this first part but almost nothing about Miles. You'll find yourself wanting to know the full extent of her family history that is touched upon and as for Miles you'll want to learn everything about him! less
