review 1: This book is unusual and very real. It had me reliving the years when my children were young; including living in an unfinished house, seizures and a child who I feared would not live. Interesting story, well written, it would be a good book for discussion. Do not judge it too harshly, unless you have held your baby and wondered if you dared to bond for fear of loss. I have much respect for those who are able to jump in whole-heartedly, but believe the fear to be real.
review 2: I wasn't the biggest fan of this book. I think that it was generally well-written and descriptive, but I had a hard time liking any of the characters which is why I don't think it held my attention very well. To me the relationships between the characters, with the exception of the
... moreone between the protaganist and her mother, seemed thin as well which made it hard for me to care about what happened to them. less
