review 1: You must think of this as an alternate world because there's no possible way this scenario would have occurred in Regency England. A threesome consisting of two men and a woman, all involved with each other including the two men, just didn't happen in high society of the time. If you can put aside that plus the jarring modern endearments used like "baby", which aristocrats at the time didn't say, you'll like the story. It moves much too fast to be believable, but we've put realism aside, so just enjoy the silly ride for what it is. There's m/f, m/f/m, m/m and m/m/f.
review 2: 4 ½ Stars! ~ Sigh .. Ms. Kane does it again. Though the theme is similar to the previous book in the series, in this one Phillip and Jonathan have chosen a woman brought up with very
... morestrong social morals. Maggie is a smart woman, and full of surprises once Phillip awakens her sensuality. Though she loves both men, she does struggle with the concept of making love to both men. But circumstances bring the three together, and Maggie discovers that not only do Phillip and Jonathan desire her; they also desire each other passionately and yet have never recognized that part of their relationship. The love scenes are very explicit with male / male and ménage, and again they are very emotional as well. The villain from the first in the series returns, this time he goes after Maggie. And there are some complex emotions with Jonathan and the trauma he carries within from the war. As in the first book, we are teased with stories to come. less
