review 1: Mmmm, let's see. Samantha Kane. Love her work. This one just ....didn't hit if for me. It was good, don't get me wrong. I doubt Kane can tell a bad story, but I gave it a four star review because, well, it just lacked -- for me -- a believable story line. I felt it was rushed too much ...almost like, okay -- get to the sex. And the sex is hot. But Kane writes very believable story lines -- and that's something given she is writing m/f/m set in a time period I doubt many people took their clothes off during sex, let alone some of the tales she weaves so seamlessly. But this one just seemed...off. I did like the characters, I thought each was fully developed, but I had a hard time buying into this one for some reason. Still a keeper for me. I would recommend it simply becaus... moree it's Kane.
review 2: Excellent read. This one has a twist, the man and woman are bonded [married:] and they add a man to their relationship. The man is a famous naturalist [and the son of another naturalist and a Tongan woman:]. Emotional adjustments and social complications abound; with racial prejudices added to prejudices against nontraditional relationships. Each book however has done very different things with this concept. Series is very sequential.
