review 1: I loved Tom The Tomcat Carter from the very first book but after reading his backstory, I adore him even more now. Taming the Storm is an amazing ending to a really great series. I enjoyed Tom and Lyla's banter. From the very beginning you could almost feel the sparks between them. I think the were an even better couple than Jake and Tru. I absolutely enjoyed this book and series and if am sad that the series has ended. I guess I'll just have to read the books all over again. Just downloaded this book from iTunes so I could continue the series and I am appalled. The interior design of this book is hideous!!! I haven't even started reading yet, (and I know I'll love the story) but the graphics of the guitars and notes, even the font used for each chapter heading... more is just so damn ugly, it distracts from the actual story. If The Mighty Storm had these graphics, I probably would never have read it and missed out on a great story. It's that off-putting. Sorry, just needed to get that off my chest. Going back to actually reading the book now.
review 2: I started reading this without knowing much about it. It was in my suggested subscription reading books on Scribd and looked good so I picked it up. I was unaware it was part of a series, let alone the last one or I would have seen if the first one was available to read first. Now having read it, I am not upset to have read it first. I liked it enough that I will probably will read the rest of the series sometime soon. It didn't really matter though, as it was good as a stand alone also, One of the better storylines, characters, and sufficiently feel-good. less
