review 1: After reading the first book ‘The mighty storm’ I just wanted to read more about Tru and Jake. I wasn’t done with them. I started reading this book right after I finished reading the first one. I couldn’t stop reading it, it was so emotional. I really loved it, even more so then the first book if it’s even possible. I was so sorry when I read ‘The End’.This book continues where the first book ended, it tells about the start of their ‘new’ life together. Tru decides to move to LA to be with Jake, far away from family and her friends. A city where she’s confronted with Jake’s past on every corner. It’s hard for her but Jake will do everything to make her happy. He would move mountains for her. But then Tru finds out that Jake doesn’t want children. ... moreSomething that she wants. Tru doesn’t know what to do with this information and before she can figure out what to do with, there’s a new crisis. Something that could destroy their relationship for good.I loved it that in this book we could also see some things through the eyes of Jake. That we could understand more why he did some things. And I also think that of the way the story went it was the best way to tell it. I really, really loved it!
review 2: 3 stars for the plot (that sometimes makes me roll my eyes), writing of the series..4 stars for the characters, i love Jake and Tru love story. Can't put it down. I love the scenes with Tom, especially the rub the lamp scene, it was hilarious. Most of the dialogues are hilarious, like the one when Jake asks about sex to the doctor and mentioned his size. Truly entertaining. Ms. Towle surely have a great sense of humour. And a great taste in music..What made me put this book in my fave shelf is the music.. I am addicted to You Started by Ou Est Le Swimming Pool because of this series. And always remembering Jake and Tru.. less
