review 1: This book was okay for me, no sparks, no fireworks, no chemistry. But I did read it in a pretty short time and that always means that I enjoyed it enough not to put it down until a few days later.Lila is a strong female character whose confidence and strength gradually build up throughout the book. However, Alex was a bit too good to be true for me. He just seemed unreal somehow, like the author wanted a perfect guy to fall for the female lead and just conjured him out of a hat or something.I guess I had maybe too high hopes for this book before I started it and now it's kind of falling a bit flat for me. Still makes a good read for a boring weekend though.
review 2: Hmmm...I enjoyed it but felt the pacing was a bit off. Things moved slowly initially. But, sudd
... moreenly the action kicks in and never really stops. That didn't bother me as much as the "love story." We spend time seeing things very slowly develop, then suddenly declarations of love are being made. I wasn't a fan of that at all. However, I like the twist (although it was predictable). This was a fun, quick, easy, and light read. I enjoyed it. I love the bromance, as well as, brother/sister storyline. I feel the book is completely story-driven with little character development. But, that worked for me and helped move the story along. I really believe this book is 3.5 but put 3 since half numbers aren't an option. less

Don't believe the hype. Poor character development and the plot was uninspired and slow.
