review 1: This book was the second to Hunting Lila, which I read over the summer then re-read over this past week. This book is a continuation of Lila and the gang. Losing Lila started with Lila and Alex, my two favorite characters, I love these characters because Lila is so desperately in love with him, and can't believe her luck that he loves her back. Alex and Lila create plans on how to get her brother and her mother whom she still thought was dead back from the Unit, a different sector of the marines and they have a higher sector than the special ops. Her brother and Alex (lifelong best friends) joined the unit to help stop what they thought killed her and Jack's mother, which in the end of the first book you find that it was the unit who did. This book is full of amazing plot... more twists and page turning events, one of those books that I sacrificed homework hours on. Even went so far as to skip my T.V. show to finish this book. I think it was harder reading it on the computer since you can't bring the book to bed, and as well you always have your laptop open during school, so this definitely didn't work because the temptation was too much for me. I would recommend this book to anyone wanting a fast read, non stop plot twists, no idea what's going to happen, nail biter book. Some aww and jealous moments with Alex and Lila. Wouldn't recommend if you don't like cute couples.
review 2: Better than the first one. Action packed and so exciting it's difficult to put the book down until you knew what happened. I love the Jack twist and how funny some of his lines are. I just didn't like how cheesy Lila and Alex were at times. Especially when he was about to leave. Urgh. It is a bit disappointing though when the author decided not to show the conversation that Jack and Lila had with their mother, and also when Demos didn't even talk to their mom. He just spent 5 yrs of his life saving her and he didn't even try to see or talk to her. Still a very good read. Found myself laughing a lot of time. less
