review 1: This was an enjoyable little book and the first of its type I've read. It was from the viewpoint of a Polish teenage girl who has moved to England and suffers from bullies, teen issues, feeling and looking different. Her dad had left before her and her mum, but is not to be found when he arrives and has started a new life without them. The thing that makes the book special is the structure, it is set out, almost as a series of poems with the title being the first words in her latest reflection. Sounds weird but it is effective. Not completely sure what the title is getting at. A quick evening read, but the text resonates and I think will stay with me.

I would recommend this to any teenager, especially a girl, but also to adults.
