Daumen hoch :)
review 2: This was a fine introduction to the world and characters of Throne of Glass. In retrospect, I wish I had read this (and the other novellas) before I read the first book in the series. It would have answered quite a few questions I had. But, it's usually
... morea gamble with these in-between stories. Sometimes they're full of spoilers, sometimes they have nothing to do with the main plot of the series at all, but are little glances at the world in general. The Throne of Glass novellas almost seem like required reading to understand what's happening in the main series, though. The introduction to Celaena and Sam still feels a bit sudden, but at least there's a bit of history provided, and the novella doesn't just throw you immediately into the action, like Throne of Glass does. And at least now I know who Sam is, although his (for the most part) exclusion from the first book seems a bit unfair to him as a character. While I enjoyed this story, it didn't really impress me. less

I didn't love this novella. Mostly I don't love this series. Celeana drives me nuts!
