review 1: What can I say? This book took me 2 days to read, and they were the best 2 days ever. It's a gripping tale, full of action and adventure, pulling you straight in and making it unbearable to put down. Fighting for freedom, and drawn by her own emotions, Celaena is a huge role model. One of the best main characters out there, in one of the best series. If you haven't read it, then you must, and straight away.
review 2: I can honestly say that I fell in love with this book and its charactes, and will be asking for the second and third for Christmas. It made for a great read, and though it dealt with some aspects of teenage fiction that I tend to dislike - love triangles, switching out of the protagonist's perspective for the sole purpose of showing how wonderful t
... morehe protagonist is in the eyes of a love interest, and dealing with the dead - all of those aspects were handled well and didn't detract much from the novel itself. I found the characters enchanting and three dimensional, and often caught myself laughing out loud at some of the jokes. It was quite enjoyable. less
