review 1: It was a short fun read. The book makes many references to what I believe is called pop culture and even though, sometimes I had to google some stuff, I wasn't lost. At first I didt't like the heroine, but as the story is developing I started rooting for her. The blurb pretty much tells you what the book is about, if interested with that, you won't be disappointed. This is one of those books that I'd love to see as a movie.Fue una lectura amena, aunque corta. En unas cuantas horas puedes devorar el libro, un viaje, un desayuno en casa, en fin. Este libro hace muchas referencias a diferentes programas de tv, sitcoms, películas, actores, comics, etc., y debo aceptar que en algunas ocasiones tenía que buscar en google algunas de esas referencias; sin embargo, eso no le rest... moreó magia al libro. Al principio la heroína no fue tanto de mi agrado, pero conforme se desarrolla la historia cambió mi perspectiva de ella. Si con la sinopsis del libro estás interesado, no te decepcionarás. Este es uno de esos libros que me encantaría verlo en pantalla grande.
review 2: Cute and amusing, if cliched. I was super turned off by the sheer amount of nerd references though (even being a pretty big geek myself). I know that the characters are supposed to be geeky, but it almost felt like the author was just shoving all those references in just to scream "look at me, look at me! I know geek things" and it felt a bit unnatural (for goodness sake, the main character and her best friend have a fairly serious conversation almost entirely in nerd references). less
