review 1: The best part of the book is the reference to the drops of gold - so you can read it to find out what the drops of gold are all about. Sarah M. Eden's books are good for a relaxing summer's day or on a plane ride or while you're waiting for an appointment. They're not particularly books that will become classics, but the plots are pretty good and the story lines are interesting. I'm checking my copies out from the library so I haven't had to invest a lot of $ in order to read them.
review 2: This is the third book by Sarah M Eden that I have read. The other two being Seeking Persephone and The Kiss of a Stranger. I loved all of them. ( Yes I do realize I some how missed reading the first book in the series ) However this is my favorite, out of the three books t
... morehat I have read Marion is by far the most spunky while at times she tries to be demure ( to befit her 'station' ) her spunky personality always shines through quit blatantly. Reminds me of... well me. I may keep my mouth shut ( though at times I am not even capable of that ) but you can always SEE what I think in posture or read it my eyes. That is partly why I liked this one the best, if its one thing I have learned you can not be a doormat to anyone and while the other female leads are far from doormats they ARE more timid and laid back...reserved. Not that is doesn't make for a good story though it has the tendency to set my teeth on edge. And any one who picks up this book would be hard pressed not to fall in love with with Caroline and the bond that grows between her and Marion. Not to mention the other sparks that fly. Though this was the second book in the Jonquil Brothers series it was not hard to follow, perhaps because I have read The Kiss of a Stranger and knew a few of the other characters mentioned, but you probably would not miss to much if you did not read the other book(s) first. less

For what kind of book it is I thought it was good. Sweet and simple with a happy ending.
