review 1: I was nervous to read this book because the title made me think it was "one of those" romances. It wasn't until after I had read many other books by this author that I knew it would be a clean romance.This book is actually the first book in the "Jonquil Brothers" series. It is not strictly about a Jonquil brother, but it sets the stage and the characters in this book make appearances throughout the others.I loved this book and the title makes sense as is humorous as soon as you begin the book.
review 2: The events in the begging of the book happened a little fast for me. I barely had time to register the first sentence and then they were married. However, as the novel progressed I found that I couldn't wait to see what would happen next. It was all pleasantly... more frustrating... Sometimes a little too frustrating. I mean, don't these people talk to each other?! Crispin's threats to Thorndale annoyed me immensely. Actions speak louder than words, Mr Cavratt. The whole 'miscommunication' and 'mixed feelings' scenario was a little bit overused at times and I found the ending ridiculous. How does Thorndale keep getting into the house?! The whole inheritance dilemma was stupid since it would be totally obvious if Catherine suddenly turned up dead and her uncle got all the money. But that's just me. Another thing that bothered me was the fact that it was never revealed why Catherine's uncle hated her so much. I would've liked to know why. But all those things aside I enjoyed the book and the kissing scenes. Romantic and sweet. 3/5! less
