review 1: I finally, finally got an extra minute to read this book. I feel like I've been waiting forever to catch a break in between scheduled reviews to fit this in with enough time to enjoy it. Savor it. I don't know why I bother because I never take more than a day to read any Sarah Eden book. I devour them.I love this book. There is something about Sarah Eden's book that just pull you in, in the most gentle of ways. Her characters are strong yet imperfect and I always feel like I know them so well. By the end I love them as much as they love each other! :)Time in a Sarah Eden book is always time well spent. This book made me happy.
review 2: So... I'm thinking one of two things. Either Sarah Eden is losing her touch or I am SICK TO DEATH of regency romances
... morefor the time being. Same complaint as her last two I read (As You Are, and Glimmer of Hope), it just came off as a little CHEESY. I wasn't excited to read the romance because I was rolling my eyes.Another qualm I had was that Elise seemed to change personalities half-way through the book. Bitter and mean at the beginning and SO sweet at the end. Um... what???? I get it that she had a very tragic thing happen to her. BUT, I don't think she could turn from being so nasty to being so sweet so quickly. But... whatever. Also, I didn't think the author addressed her feelings about the rape AT ALL. I mean... COME ON. She was terrified because she was pregnant (understandable), but she should also have been scarred from the abuse as well. Never addressed... and she loved her daughter like nothing bad had happened. I'm sorry, if you have a child from a rape, there are bound to be some feelings there, even if you do manage to overcome them and move on. Okay... enough about that. One more thing. I didn't buy into Elise running away like that. Yes, Miles ignored her and didn't listen, but she should have GRABBED HIM BY THE FACE and told him she was pregnant. I think the circumstances of this story were unbelievable, which is how I felt about Glimmer of Hope.I think I just need to stop reading Regency for a while... I LOVED her first ones I read, especially Seeking Persephone and Kiss of a Stranger. less

Still a huge fan of Sarah Eden, but this one wasn't my favorite. It was predictable and repetitive.

Totally predictable, kinda lame. But whatever, it was still a romance :) haha

Reminded me of Julianne Donaldson's Blackmore. It was a decent read.

2.5. Not my favorite of hers. And I hate the title.
