review 1: I actually would give it 3.5 if I knew how to do that. :) As a Mom of 4 small children, I feel like she was pretty spot on with some of the thoughts and feelings Tina was having throughout the book. This was exactly the type of lazy, summer beach read (although I wasn't even close to a beach when I read it) I needed but felt like she could have done a better job with the timelines and finishing off loose ends in some of the story lines.
review 2: After reading These Girls by Sarah Pekkanen, while I loved, I knew I wanted to read more by her. This book definitely did not disappoint. The descriptions of the settling alone make you ready to book a flight to Jamaica, or at least start trolling town for a wealthy friend who will take you. Pekkanen has a gift for hav... moreing the reader simultaneously feel sympathy and disdain for the four women in the story. Each storyline was interesting and unique and kept my attention until the very end. A good quick and easy read. less
