review 1: I'd have loved it if it were a bit longer. The ending seemed totally abrupt - I'm not sure I understood the motivations of the bully (Epsen), there was only a tiny glimpse into the main characters' relationship (up till the end they mostly just... studied in the same room) and the interesting world building seem useless to the plot and kind of vague (for instance what did a shadow mage actually mean? why were they rare? etc.).
review 2: A student story that I really enjoyed - maybe because it was about a fire-mage student who studied rather than partied. And the rules were followed, more or less, about innapropriate behaviour between student and professor.I hope there will be more about this couple or this universe (preferably both). Lajos has plenty of resear... morech to do. Toma and his twin brother still have to settle who is going to be saddled with their inheritance. And I do have to wonder if Epsen will grow out of his idiocy. less
