review 1: Overall, an entertaining book with an exciting, tense climax, a strong hero, and a heroine who comes into her own.The opening scene of this book really grabbed me and made me want to read on. The heroine's plight is desperate, but so is the hero's, and their first encounter is full of attraction and yet they are both aware of their own difficulties, bringing conflict to their interaction. The story progresses a bit slowly at times, but the characters were interesting enough to make me want to continue reading and finding out more about them. The heroine seemed a bit naive in the beginning, but she becomes stronger as the story progresses and her actions near the end show her backbone. The hero, on the other hand, starts to reveal his compassionate side the longer he knows t... morehe heroine. The sex is spicy without being too lewd. No menage-a-trois or BDSM, just old-fashioned wild monkey sex.The climax of the storyline was full of conflict and struggles. I have to admit I was a little disappointed because the story seemed to deflate rather quickly after that, but the ending in the Highlands was very nice.I think that Historical romance readers who like it hot and spicy will enjoy this one. I would also recommend this book to any of my friends who enjoy pirate heroes, even though the hero wasn't technically a pirate. But the time period and the characters aren't too far removed from the age of piracy.Received ebook from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
review 2: Taskill Witches, book 3Category: Erotic Fiction"The Taskill Witches trilogy comes to an end with this stellar entry that entertains with its unbridled sexuality and intelligent storytelling. Love overcomes all obstacles during a rocky voyage, both on land and sea, as Maisie and Roderick find their happy ever after. The crew of the Libertas adds its own dynamic to the tale."
