review 1: I'm not sure what I was expecting from this book, so it was just okay. I suppose if I realized ahead of time that it was a How-To-Survive-in-Berlin guide, I would have appreciated it more. But, then again, I probably wouldn't have picked it up because I don't have any immediate plans to visit Berlin, let alone live there. The advice was handy, but the writing was a bit dull and pedantic for my taste. However, if/when I make plans to visit (or move to) Germany, I'll definitely reread this!
review 2: After reading "Bumped to Berlin" I am going to buy some fresh flowers, open a nice cold German beer and look at plane ticket prices to Berlin ASAP! Savannah paints a picture of Berlin that is so warm and inviting - that I can't help but to hope to include Germany in
... moremy next round of travels. Savannah, ready or not here I come to visit "your" Berlin. I dare you to read this book and NOT want to find a German husband and make the move across the pond! less

Being a former ex-pat in Zurich made this book really click for me. It was enjoyable.
