review 1: Very well-written and I am sure absolutely realistic, but exasperating nonetheless. The main character is a whiny, immature perfectionist whose only goals in life are to be the ultimate career woman and to have her life defined by Mr. Right. This book had the potential to have a great girl-power message, but it really fell short. All these women from all walks of life could have been more robust characters, but they just didn't get fleshed out.
review 2: I found this book to be like a horrific car accident. I didn't want to keep reading it but for some strange reason I felt as if I just HAD to know what Lara was going to do next. I failed to see the attraction of Paul...a married, deceitful, manipulative creep. Lara's obsession for her coworker was idiotic and
... morecreepy. I was more interested in Robin, Bobbie, and Rose's storyline than that of the main character. Not the worst free book ever, but not good enough to make me want to read the rest of the Girlfriend series. less

Shallow, a few grammatical errors. Just not a fun read.
