review 1: I have been waiting so long for Everblaze, and it was absolutely amazing! I finally was able to get it on Thursday, and I finished it by Monday. I loved it so much, and I had to tell myself to put it down many times so I could actually get work done. I always needed to know what was going to happpen next! There were so many plot twists and a bunch of characters turned out to be someone completely different than what I originally thought. I like how Messenger spares our feeeling by not killing any main characters, but still makes the story really emotional. Everblaze and all of the Keeper books are so amazing, and I can't wait for #4!!!
review 2: Why do I keep reading these? They aren't that good. I guess I hoped that the second would be better than the first an... mored then that after two books, I'd just have to do one more to complete the trilogy and be done with them. Now I come to find it's not a trilogy. Ugh. Admittedly, I skim as much as possible (there's an awful lot of filler in these), but it seems a bad idea to have so many male friends for the heroine. Keefe, Fitz, Dex, even Sandor - they all seem to serve the same purpose. There are adults who are somewhat interchangeable too. If the next is truly the last, then I might read the free copy that arrives at my house. But if it's not, I hereby promise to bail out on this series. Don't let me forget - these are (unnecessarily) LONG books that eat up a significant amount of reading time that could easily be better spent on something else. There's a decent story in there somewhere, but it's been obscured by all the padding, the bloated cast of characters, and the inane teen-speak. less
