review 1: Powerful principles are outlined in this book for improving things in a business, but also in your personal life. I read more for the personal life aspect but found myself asking my husband about things at his workplace and imagining how these principles could drive amazing improvements there. I also wish the leaders at my workplace would read this, but so long as faculty have tenure the chances of making real improvements at the university are slim to none.
review 2: Straight forward advice for tackling your WIG's - Wildly important goals. They suggest no more than two goals, then outline the four steps around making those happen. It comes down to consistent and frequent scorecards on those goals as well as tracking the lead indicators of the goals. You can ... moreuse this simple formula for any goal - at work, at home, for your kids, etc. I often test out business tactics on my kids. If I can make it work with them I can usually make it work with anyone (they are 5 and 7 and it's no easy task!). less
