review 1: I breezed through this exciting novel and can't wait for a sequel! Rose Marshall died at 16 and became the source of many "hitchhiking ghost" urban legends. Though her life was short and mostly uneventful, her time as a ghost is anything but that. Rose travels the roads, saving as many people from death as she can and helping the ones she can't save to find their way. Rose must also find a way to stop Bobby Cross from killing more ghosts to feed his youthful immortality, the same way he tried to kill her.
review 2: We have all heard and read ghost stories in the past, but have you had the opportunity to hear the stories directly from the ghost? This is the autobiography of Rose Marshall who passed away in 1952. She has been travelling the roads for the past 6... more0 years, and has come in contact with Rose on this side many times, so many times in fact that some of her different encounters are shared around the campfire, but how much of the stores we relate are truth and how much has been added by those on our side to make us shiver. It appears that Rose used a Ghostwriter to assist in this endeavor (most likely a member of the Price family, as they have provided an abbreviated field guide at the end of this book to assist us with understanding the unfamiliar that introduced to us in this book. Don't forget to keep a spare jacket handy and the Malteds thick. less
