review 1: Wow. Just wow. Lots of stuff happened in this volume, and as shocking as it is, I'm saying that this volume made the whole series actually WORTH IT.I'm surprising myself by saying [typing] it, but the volume itself shocked me even more.I cannot believe that Kurosaki, the beloved Sempai was actually the Knight the entire time. That was... That was so shocking I had to read it over again.I'm kind of irritated too though, because by thinking that the Knight was Sou the whole time, (I knew something was wrong with how open he was!) I now want to re-read the entire series knowing that the Knight was really Kurosaki, (seeing as in certain dreams he harassed Mashiro).Along with the new identity, (who sadly left us) we find out the truth of Ai's existence. She really was just a fi... moregment of Sou's imagination, (creepy enough since she's been around for over 10 years, and they've intensely made-out before), but oddly enough everyone else can see her in the dreams. Even Kurosaki was saying that he wanted to kill that 'witch'. It's kind of sad that Sou chose Ai when she had chained both herself and Mashiro on a crumbling bridge, but yet he ended up killing her, (or basically just killing a part of his imagination.)Did killing his dream-version of his sister, (the black-dressed one) kill off the real one, (I assume the one dressed in white, but her wardrobe may have changed) or was that a complete coincidence? The storyline could really go either way.The ending left me quite satisfied, (satisfied in a way like "I'm glad I kept reading, and I'm ready to read the next and last volume". If it has ended the series that way, I definitely wouldn't have been satisfied. I would have been PISSED.) [Excuse language]I have always loved stories with some kind of amnesia, or memory loss, or something that doesn't have a name for it where everyone forgets who you are or you wake up and find yourself as someone totally different, (socially wise.). I think this story has taken a turn for the better. 'Smirk.'It's not that I didn't like this series, it's just that there wasn't enough action for me. (Obviously I haven't read a non-manga romance in a while).Just one more volume. One more!I really hope this turns out as well as I hope it will.
review 2: As Ichijou Mashiro’s hard kept secret is revealed to his classmates, Mashiro’s dream world is turned upside down. The after-hours class Mashiro signs up for is not at all what he expects it to be. Passing the class is his only chance of graduation and the horrors he finds there are only the beginnings to the mysteries yet to be revealed. This dark series is filled with controversial and emotional issues that take the reader on a journey through what the characters are feeling and what they experience. There is always some sort of twists throughout causing the reader to re-think about the issues involved.Interesting concept to say the least! The story itself invokes a creepy mysterious concept taking place throughout the school. I was impressed with the complexities of the students and situations involved throughout the series. Reading this series the author does an amazing job of making the reader feel the characters pain and suffering. Note: This review was completed after reading volumes 1-10. less
