review 1: This is kind of the midpoint between Lillian Jackson Braun's The Cat Who novels and Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum. There's lots of crazy in Crazy and a crime solving cat. This is not a romantic comedy though -just comedy- which is refreshing in a novel with a female lead. There's a guy she likes but he's unavailable and she honorably doesn't pursue it. It's a fun, quick read with plenty of hijinks. Also, I didn't see the end from the beginning.
review 2: First in the series of Lil & Boris mysteries. If you live in the Shenandoah area (or rural Virginia or maybe have family from there) you will quickly identify with the cast of characters in these books. And if you happen to own a cat, you will most certainly enjoy this book. A great fun read that spins a g... moreood yarn and has you laughing all the way through. Plus (and I mean a huge plus) is that 25% of all royalties goes to support animal charities! Can't wait to read the next three in the series. Boris to the rescue!!! less
