review 1: This is the first Sharon Sala book I've read. Found the characters compelling. The plot was engaging, if a bit unbelievable (I can't imagine under any circumstances letting folks bury someone thinking they were me, but it made a great story). The story read quickly. The biggest downfall to the book was a lot of head-hopping. A close second was the unfulfilled promises. There were 2 storylines mentioned several times within the book that were not wrapped up. As a reader, that was unsatisfying.
review 2: I do not normally Review books, but on this one I did want to say that while I really liked the plot, the characters and the Authors overall writing style and voice, she was often very repetitive with information that i felt was unnecessary to move the story alon
... moreg. This tendency to repeat info we already know and may have just seen paragraphs before slowed the pace of the novel and made me want to skip passages at a time just to move on. One example without letting go any spoilers, would be if one character received a call with a new development, he would then call someone else to relay this same info almost exactly as it was stated the 1st time, then maybe do find one of the other characters and tell that person as well restating the info again. This might not be a big issue for some readers and they will probably enjoy this book more than i did. overall again it was mostly a good read and i will not cross this author off of my good list, but it could do with further refining. less
