review 1: Niequist writing is honest and insightful. Reading her book feels like talking to a really great friend on a Sunday afternoon. Her stories validate many of the emotions women have had over the years. You may find yourself laughing and crying as you read. You might even shout "me too!" This book is a soulful reminder that it is okay to be human. Sharing quality time and great food with people we love is to experience something truly wonderful. I loved this book and would highly recommend it!
review 2: This book had some good moments in it, but it was pretty broken up. It looks like it has some good recipes in it, but that's not the real point of it. I had trouble staying interested in it, but I did enjoy the overall scope of the book - take time to enjoy your fr... moreiends and family around the table. Stop worrying about if your house is perfect enough to host a party, or you cook well enough and just do it - if you can take that from the book and implement it, then it's worth reading. less
