review 1: This was a super sad book about a girl named Annie. Annie was abandoned by her mother when she was 7 years old. She was left with a grandmother. She found out her mother had another daughter and later the daughter came to live with the grandmother too. Annie moved away to New York to start her life. She did not come home very often. Her grandmother had died a few years back and she came back for her sisters graduation from graduate school. The two sisters had been out celebrating when a terrible car accident happened. Annie was at a loss to understand why bad things happen to good people. Her grandmother and sister believed in God, so how come she was the one to live and they died? She kept going back and forth between her life in New York and her other life in Charleston.... more In the end she finally got it right and learned to stop running and start getting over her past and living. It was a good book and I will look for more from this author. Awesome that one of the homeless men that she helped turned out to be an angel and the neighbor boy drew the picture about it.
review 2: I absolutely loved this book!!! Such a sweet and touching story!! I loved so many things about this book but to narrow it down to a few shout out praises, here goes: 1) I loved the authors' writing style and techniques!! It was such an easy read and the flow of character conversations was perfect!! I never got confused!!! This book was written for our day and age and I loved it!!! 2) I loved that Ann was and interior designer!! Since I majored in Interior Design for a few years, I felt a connection with the character and her way of life!! 3) I loved how the story was wholesome and uplifting!!! No swearing or sexual activities are in this story, which I loved!! Sweet romance without all the yuck (it is a Christian book)!! 4)I just loved this book and the characters!!! less
