review 1: This is the first book that I have read by this author and I have to say that I really enjoyed it. I have not heard Heloise and Abelard's story before so this was something new for me to read and learn about while while enjoying this book. This was the telling of a timeless love story. Sherry did a good job with her research with an added bonus of using the real letters between these two to make the book that much more interesting. I liked the way Sherry developed her characters and set the scenes. Once you start this book you will not want to put it down. I am going to look for more books by this author.
review 2: love Sherry Jones is an absolute storyteller in this. If you haven’t tried her books before, I cannot emphasize enough how much you’re missing ... moreout by not reading them. She has written “Four Sisters, All Queens,”, “The Jewel of Medina”, “The Sword of Medina,” and an e-novellathis story , sherry jones is a very talented writer and can write about differnt Geres .since i read a few storys set in medival history and regency i was wondering about this one I was extremely interested in how Sherry Jones would write Heloise and Abelard's story. Being passionate about the medieval time which has always intrigued me. I had hopes that this re-telling of such a famous couple would be a true reflection of the times in which they lived and loved. this one made be reread it a second time I especially liked that the author uses Heloise and Abelard's own letters to each other throughout the book. Jones use of these poignant, heartfelt letters really made this book special.. looking forward to reading her other medival stores she did a beautiful work with this one. Need to buy the book to see if it was true love or just attraction less
