review 1: I'm a big Sherry Thomas fan but I found this one lacking. It contains one of my least favorite setups - the loss of memory. Add to that - the heroine angrily accuses the hero of something she initiated and insisted upon. I felt like throwing my hands in the air. Although it is resolved fairly quickly, it reinforced my growing unfavorable opinion of the heroine. Then it the book just - ends.Jenny Sterlin is adequate as a narrator and even rates in the high fours for me at times. But she makes her heroes sound too stuffy and uppity. Although that may be accurate for the aristocracy, it doesn't work for me all that often and it didn't work here.Content and narration rate 3 1/2 stars.
review 2: I am fairly new to Sherry Thomas's books, having only read a few, but I
... more am so glad to have discovered her. This book is going on the shelf with my favorites. I always love a good amnesia story and this was a good one. I will admit going into it that I did not like Helena from the two previous books in the series, but I liked Hastings, so I gave it a shot. I am so glad I did. It was a very well written story. I loved Hastings' little girl and the way he was so sweet to her. I would definitely recommend this author, her stories are very well done. less

I just couldn't like the heroine. Maybe I'll write a rev at some point to explain why.
