Dwellers of Ahwahnee
review 1: Beyond The World Of Man Rich with Native American Wisdom! The third book in the Dwellers of Ahwahnee series is rich with the Native American culture. Each chapter starts with a Native American poem which relates pefectly with the chapters. The daughter of Oria, Spirit Walker, is destined to lead the tribe and must find her way through the mystical journal that her mother has left behind. The words of the journal are hidden from evil and only the next Golden Queen can read the words written on the pages. This is the only hope for the Ahwahneechee tribe to survive. This is a wonderful inspirational journey that author Shery Seal has written and I have enjoyed the entire series, maybe there will be another book from this talented author! I was gifted this book for a review an... mored recommend The Dwellers of Ahwahnee series for a great read!
review 2: I have read each one of the books in this series and I must say that I was not disappointed at all. The author's details are amazing in which you can picture everything in your mind vividly. All of her books tend to play out in my head like a movie. The part of the story that talks of Falling Rock had my undivided attention for at least thirty minutes after I read it. I was thinking of all the times I've seen that particular sign while on the road to visit my family. Who knows, maybe we've all seen him once upon a time. The way Sheryl describes each disaster and the cause makes you wonder about the reality of it all. The love between the protagonist's parents has been undeniable throughout the series. The communication between mother and daughter by way of the journal was a splendid ideal. Oria seemed to know exactly what her daughter would be doing while reading her words. These books are a page turner without a shadow of a doubt. I highly recommend this series, especially this particular one. less
