review 1: I am loving this series despite the heavy sex scenes (not that I disapprove, but sometimes it's a little too much)! I thoroughly enjoyed this novella. Jonathan & Lori's story showed things more from the perspective of Lori and her making her 'mark' on her wolf - rather than the other way around. It was interesting as Jonathan battling his inner demons believing he was not worthy of her love. Its seven years forward from Eli & Sarel's story and her older sister, the wolves and the vampires still see Lori as the lost little girl. A witch and a healer, she is trying to prove to everyone she is a hunter in her own right. I enjoyed this book and am already logged onto Amazon to purchase the next five books in this series!I recommend it to anyone who likes the paranormal romance... more reads.
review 2: "The Hunters: Jonathan and Lori" by Shiloh Walker. Book 4 of The Hunters series.I really enjoyed this book! Even better than the first two in my opinion. I found the storyline to be more intricate than the others. It didn't focus on sex as much as the other books, more on the storyline. Mind you, there is a lot a sex in this book too but I found it more balanced with the action. The main characters of Jonathan and Lori have excellent chemisty.Jonathan has loved Lori since he first saw her but he just can't tell her. He isn't good enough for her. There is evil inside him and he doesn't want her to get hurt.Lori has loved Jonathan since she first saw him. She know he has feelings for her but she can't get him to admit it. If he truly isn't interested then she may just have to give up on him. But someone is trying to kill Jonathan and Lori is determined to not let that happen.Novella in length, but it felt longer than that to me. It was just right. And I just have to say this book FINALLY had something I was looking for...the woman to leave HER MARK on a man. (Most books I've read have the woman with a mark on her body somewhere, or the man marks her in some way knowing that they are meant to be together, stuff like that). This was a refreshing change of pace. I really really enjoyed it. Can't wait for the next one! less
