... morehapter is a unique voice, and i often felt i was reading a real biography. Its a complex book with past and present seamlessly interwoven with intelligence and wit. The crux of the book is that the art world has difficulty acknowledging women. Harriet Burden is a feminist heroine even when she makes wrong choices or behaves like a lunatic. She is a true artist and a master of history art and literature, all she wants is for someone to acknowledge her uniqueness. her disappointment in the art world mirrors every woman's disappointment in their own male driven career choices. though Harry has her moments of cliché bitterness and overly emotional reactions, her words and voice are authentic. I am personally nominating this book for the pulitzer less
