review 1: All the loose ends tied up. In addition to the central couple, two additional HEAs occur. Michael was an incredible hero. He was villainous in the previous book starring his half-brother so making him into a hero was quite a feat. Ms. Nash pulled it off though, and without stripping him of his rogue personality. Elizabeth was the perfect match for him since she was a risk taker and did not hold back. She was fabulous.
review 2: I think I would have enjoyed this more had I read the first three in this series, so I would definitely suggest reading the others! I enjoyed Nash's crisp writing style and clear POV with interesting secondary characters very much, and I'll look for others by her. I had a very hard time with the hero of this book, however, because
... morehe's beyond dark--he's downright cruel for 3/4 of the book without much redeeming at all. I think more of his backstory comes out in the first few books of this series, but even with the bad childhood backstory, he was very hard to stomach. He seems to just hate everything about being human, and it was hard to believe that heroine's love was going to be enough to turn him jovial and empathetic. less
