review 1: Violet Howard is in love with her father's man of business. So her mother's plan to take her to England is just frustrating her. She has no interest in attracting the Earl of Melton. Even though he is very handsome. For his part, Will is not anxious to marry but he decides that this heiress is pretty, so, what the heck?This is an okay novella but there is so much missing from the story. Development of a relationship, characters, etc. This is another story that would have been served by having a longer story. It was still okay though and worth reading.
review 2: This was a wonderful Christmas story about a girl determined to marry a man who wanted her, not her money, and a man determined to marry for money. It was a fun novella filled with laughs, fun, some spic... morey moments, a lot of misunderstanding. The hero was wonderful, determined to proof his love and determined to marry the right woman even when he really needed money. The heroine was delightful as she tried to find a man who loved her for her and not marry for her money. When all was said and done, it was a fun way to spend the evening and I look forward to reading book one as soon as possible. less
