review 1: A smart witty heroine matched with a sharp but not quite shinning Prince. Prince Sevastian now the sole heir to his grandfathers throne travels to England in hopes of finding a well dowered debutant to marry. Sadly his attention keeps wandering to the well dowered but illegitimate Grier, daughter to a man who made his fortune in questionable ways. Grier should be looking for an impoverished lord, one who would be grateful for her dowry, but after dousing Sev after over hearing his less than flattering remarks about her and her sister she finds her self quarreling with him at every turn. As the story progresses both Sev and Grier try to fight there growing attraction but eventually are found in a compromising situation and Sev finds that while he should be looking for a dif... moreferent candidate, he can't quite be satisfied with how things turned out. But not everyone is happy with the up coming union...So, I just basically outlined the entire story with out giving any of the good parts away. Kudos for me, trust me there is a whole lot more sustenance to it than that. I liked how Sev and Grier played off each other, though I do believe that he was a bit of a Cad for most of the book. 4 stars for a entertaining read!
review 2: This is your typical easy to read romance where the female fights at all costs to avoid becoming ensnared in a tryst and loses her heart to a prince. After overhearing some harsh words about her and not being a suitable bride for a prince from the horses mouth, she tosses her lemon water all over him. They have a few words, and both a hooked from that moment on, though both fight their attraction to each other. Finally they are found in a compromised situation by her father and the prince proposes marriage. They both know that she isn't princess/queen material, but they overcome it and embrace each others love. less
