review 1: I really liked this book, all though i still liked the first book in the series better. The best part of the book was the romance between Kaz and Hailey, i thought the chemistry was good and they were so cute togther. There were afew things the book was missing like Kazs point of view, they had Haileys, Rattlers, and even Chubs view. But no Kaz i think the book would have been alot cooler if we learned what Kaz though during this advencher. Also the book is really short its only 277 pages, and that was just to short for me. I felt by the end you just know the characters so well you just wish it could keep going, just a little more. Those where the only big prombles i though of during the book, and really those are not to bad. Over all this was a good book it has what most ... moregood books have action, young love, and a few characters you love to hate. For me it was Rattler, i aften found myself hoping hes going to die at the end of the book. He made he me so mad, hes just one of those people you want to slap some sense into. Still with that, I enjoy the book, and was sad to see it end. I hope anyone with some time, can pick up this good sequel to an equaly good book and just....... well read utill its done, because thats what i did with this book. :) - Thanks to all for reading
review 2: Hailey is descended from a long line of healers who came to the United States from Ireland. The story continues from the first book, Banished. Hailey, her aunt Prairie, and her little brother Chub have fled from General Prentiss who is trying to force them to use their powers to create zombies from those that have just died. The three have gone to Milwaukee, changed their names and assumed new lives. For the first time in Hailey’s life she seems normal – regular clothes, regular friends, a regular life. But Hailey misses her boyfriend Kaz who is a seer. They devise a plan to stay in touch with each other. They are careful, just not careful enough. Their scheme is found out; the General is after them. The story is told primarily in Hailey’s voice. However, other voices show up throughout the story. The story is built around the conflict of Hailey & Kaz fighting to be free from the General and his evil plans. While I think girls will like the story I didn’t really connect to the characters until the final scenes. There are some scenes that contain some moderate violence – bombing, shootings, etc. and that is why I gave it a PG13 for violence. less
