review 1: Ember Brycin is a young lady who seems to find trouble without trying. After an accident at the school dance Ember is sent to a special school for troubled kids. It is there that things start becoming more involved as Ember starts to find out who she really is and what is expected of her. At the new school Ember finds herself having a strong attraction to Eli who is also there because of special circumstances. The stormy relationship develops between them to connect them in a way you wouldn't expect. This is a different sort of book from my usual reading but I found myself enjoying it and wanting to read the next book to see what happens in Embers world.
review 2: Ugh! I knew it, I just knew it! When I read the summary of this book of Ember's attraction to Eli
... more and blah blah I knew it was going to be one of those books that the freaking MC falls instantly over heels for a jerk. But NOOOO!!! Stupid me wanted to give it a chance and hope this book would proved me wrong. Instead it freaking proved I was exactly on point. Not only is Eli gorgeous but he's a Bad Boy with a douche bag personality. When Ember meets him she can't help but be attracted to him even though he treats her like shit. But since he's gorgeous he's forgiven. Every single time they fight Ember always forgives him. I'm like man up goodness gracious and control your hormones cuz I cannot stand it when a girl falls in love with a guy because he's hot as he'll, tortured and with a crappy personality. All they ever did was fight and he pushes her away and they managed to fall in love. It's so unrealistic it frustrates me and Ember is suppose to be a strong sarcastic girl. But NOPE! She is only another one of those idiotic YA girls who falls in love for a guy because she's insanely attracted to him. Hated this book and couldn't finish it. Why can't there be a YA book where they actually get to know each other? Huh? Why does it have to be I instantaneous??? And what happened to Josh? Her supposed friend she made on the first day? He was pushed back when the stupid romance took over. TYPICAL!!!! Sigh I really wished this book would've been a favorite but sadly not. less
