review 1: I was so incredibly pumped for this! Ally Carter, Jenny Han, Gayle Forman, Stephanie Perkins, AND Rainbow Rowell in the same book? So pumped. Sadly, I was let down. Some stories were better than others, some left me wondering why I'd bothered to read them. Reviewing from the point of view of someone who fully appreciates simple YA romances but loves a complicated plot in the mix, also, here are my ratings:Midnights- Rainbow Rowell (5/5)Undoubtedly my favorite from the book. The Lady and the Fox- Kelly Link (2/5)Loved beginning. Didn't like the ending at all. Angels in the Snow- Matt de la Peña (3.5/5)Enjoyed the MC's very much. Ending fell flat. Polaris is Where You'll Find Me- Jenny Han (3/5)I usually love Steph, but I feel like we're all a little too old to still read s... moretories about Santas elves. It's a Yuletide Miracle, Charlie Brown- Stephanie Perkins (4/5) Love her and this cute little story. Your Temporary Santa- David Levithan (2.5/5)Liked the idea but the characters never gripped me. Krampuslauf- Holly Black (2/5)Liked the MC but the ending left a sour taste in my mouth. What the Hell Have You Done, Sophie Roth?- Gayle Forman (3/5)Nice idea, but I couldn't decide what she wanted to write about- love, social pressure, or racial/ethnic differences. Beer Buckets and Baby Jesus- Myra McEntire (3.5/5)The main character saved this one and made it likable. Welcome to Christmas, CA- Kierston White (3.5/5)Nice, simple, lovable, and adorable. But not quite as memorable as it could be. Star of Bethlehem- Ally Carter (3/5)As a die hard Ally Fan, I was disappointed by this. I might have to reread it to be sure. The romance didn't drag me in the way other stories did. The Girl Who Woke the Dreamer- Laini Taylor (.5/5)This story didn't belong in the collection. At times I was interested, but it made me dislike the collection as a whole. Hated it.
review 2: Honestly I would have rated it higher but a few of the stories really were just weird, and don't really make sense. At all. Most if them were really sweet and cute and wonderful. If I could have the book without the few I didn't like, I would buy it.As it stands, sweet holiday read and something I probably would read again. Fave stories in this: midnightsAngels in the snowIt's a Yuletide miracle, Charlie BrownWhat the h*ll have you done, Sophie Roth? Beer buckets and baby JesusWelcome to Christmas ca. Star of Bethlehem. Those were definitely my faves of this. The rest well, I really didn't care for them. So 7/12 of the stories I really enjoyed, and the rest...eh. Happy Christmas. ❤️ less

I would read this even if it weren't Christmas. But it is, so it's all the more beautiful. :)
